Forme d'Arte

A story
of Quality.

1999
The Birth

Forme d’Arte was born with the goal of enhancing a selection of high-quality Tuscan cheeses. The founder, Paolo Piacenti, is a modern Indiana Jones of pecorino, searching with love and patience for ancient flavors from small producers, managing to move us with certain cheeses.

The project begins almost as a game in the spare time Paolo finds from his main activity as a sales agent in the agri-food sector.

One evening during dinner, he talks about his idea
to select and offer exclusively Tuscan cheeses of quality
on the market to a group of artist friends.

They immediately agree to design labels for
cheeses selected, aged, and refined by Paolo.

The involved artists

Alain Bonnefoit, Antonio Biancalani, Carlo Romiti,
Edward Giobbi, Elisabetta Rogai, Fabio Calvetti,
Francesco Nesi, Giovanni Maranghi, Masato Yoshioka
and Nico Paladini

with their creativity have enhanced the entire production with
wonderful labels.

Points of sale

Over the years, Forme d’Arte reaps what it sowed and, in addition to supplying excellent restaurants, it is present in specialized shops and quality agritourisms.

The first direct sales points are born
in San Gimignano, Castellina in Chianti, Lucca,
and other selected locations.

Book

Paolo realizes that his cheeses are niche and need
to be "explained" and enhanced. For this reason, he creates a book

“Il Formaggio tra cibo e cultura”

which is a real guide on excellent cheeses and the journey
he undertook in 1999.

Online Shop

Over time, the offering expands, and an online shop is created, which immediately enjoys
significant success.

2019
Sheep ART Project

In early 2019, the Sheep ART project - Art in Transhumance is born again,
involving

24 artists who "paint" each
a life-size wooden sheep.

This results in a publication and a series of exhibitions, the first of which is
in Palazzo Pretorio in Certaldo. Once again, Forme d’Arte affirms its
vocation: enhancing excellent cheese through art.

Currently, the company is engaged in other important projects, and Forme d’Arte cheeses
are a splendid reality in the Tuscan and Italian cheese panorama.
